The first race of the Premier series playoffs serving up anything but pint sized helpings of action as the drivers took over the Chili bowl in the dirt midgets. Heat racing got underway with Thaddeus Marshall #89, Carl Handwerk #18, Brandon Mettler #15, Dane Simpson #96 and Paul Butler #77 winning the 5 heat races. Patrick Shelton #04 and Christopher Hamilton #64 would navigate the alphabet soup of mains to earn their spots in the feature. A tough night for many playoff drivers, as four would not make the feature. Butler showed that not making the playoffs wouldn’t stop him, as he put in a solid play for the wildcard spot, finishing 5th. Handwerk was able clinch his spot in the next round of playoffs, beating out Marshall for the checkered flag.

GT3 Series
Home of the 2021 Dutch Grand Prix, Circuit Park Zandvoort played host to the 3rd race of the Core GT3 Series Monday night. In the Pro Division Nick Nickerson #2 would slip by Carl Handwerk #18 to score his second win of the season. Handwerk would find himself in full on battle mode, breaking the draft and blocking as Mason Smith #6 challenged him unsuccessfully for second place. In the Amateur division, Adam Jones #46 took his second win of the season and finishing 4th overall, putting him 17 points ahead of Alex Cornfield #59 on the season. Cornfield and Patrick Shelton #04 rounded out the Am podium, while elsewhere mechanical issues saw Matthew Goering #7 fall back 9th in class.
