Each week we take a chance to catch up with one (or two) of the up-and-coming Developmental Series drivers and find out a bit more about who we get to race with Tuesday nights. This week we are talking with Marc Gonzales, who currently sits second in the standings only 2 points back of the leader.

Dane – How long have you been on iracing? Or other sims?

Marc – I’ve only been sim racing for about 3 months now and iracing is the only simulation game I have ever played in my life.

Dane – What is your preferred type of racing, or do you have a specialty? What type of racing do you generally watch?

Marc – I really don’t have a preference of racing between road and oval, I really like both because one aspect of racing helps me out in the other aspect and I feel as if I’m average in both so it doesn’t scare me to do both kinds and enjoy it and not be like “ugh it’s oval” or vice versa. I normally watch Nascar, F1, INDYCAR, and MOTOGP (honestly the most exciting out of the three).

Dane – The D series schedule is all over the place, what races are you looking forward to/ wary of.

Marc – Now that all the dirt races are over I’m excited for the last two races of the season! I really love the dallara and love the super duper loose legacy truck!

Dane – Follow up to that… is there a premiere race you want to for sure qualify for, something you think would be super fun.

Marc – I think the rallycross race that is coming up would be a fun one to run I love the dirt road races even though I think I’m not that good!

Dane – Is there something you’re looking to take away from the series in terms of development?

Marc – Honestly what I wanted out this league I got at the very beginning just a community of guys I can talk to and be friends with!
